Signed Sealed Delivered by Taylorbug

The Dallas HOB show was great! I had a wonderful view of Taylor doing the Pee Wee Herman Tequila dance! That man is soooo entertaining!! The Maze is full of tags: Wild World, Moondance & Signed, Sealed, Delivered.

Taylor Hicks was a tagging machine in Clearwater.  Here is just one of his many tags that wonderful night.

Where is My Badge! – by Beachn

It is always such a treat to watch Taylor Hicks perform in his home state of Alabama, but Dothan was very special for another reason.  Dothan is the hometown of Taylor’s good friend Wynn Christian.  Taylor was just thrilled to have Wynn on stage with him again.  This song just went on and on as Taylor and Wynn grooved on together.

A Fool For You – by Diane

This concert was at a high school gymnasium in the middle of New Jersey.  It was pouring rain like nothing I had seen before.  I had poor seats and wasn’t expecting much.  But Taylor put on a spectacular show that surprised all of us. This Ray Charles tag in the middle of “The Maze” is probably my one of my favorite moments of the Summer Tour.  How does he do this – bring us to chills with his ability to wring the pain out of a song and then a minute later thank US for letting him do it?

That’s Alright – by EJ

Enjoy Taylor as he channels Elvis on this “Runaround” tag and does a harp/guitar duel with Josh Smith. Amazing!

Long Way Home – by Amyrebo

Taylor’s solo tour had finally made its way to my home state.  It was an incredible show.  The crowd found Taylor’s rhythm and stayed with it all night.  Taylor and the band were feeling the audience’s love and showed it in return.  When he did “Long Way Home,” my heart was right on stage with him.  I thought it was one of his best performances that I had seen live.
The Maze – Ol’ Man River – by Diane

One of my favorite pieces of music is “Ol’ Man River,” sung by Paul Robeson in the film Show Boat.  As I started my video at the point where Taylor began tagging “The Maze,” I realized he was tagging some of this beautiful song and I lost it completely.   :)
Rhode Island was where the New England Soul Patrol presented Taylor with a new handmade stool for his acoustic numbers.

Wherever I Lay My Hat – by Tays Harmonica
“Wherever I Lay My Hat” is my favorite song from Taylor’s post-AI CD, so I especially loved being able to see this one live.  He often “tags” other songs during this song and at the Torrington show, he tagged two Bruce Hornsby songs, as well as Nightshift.

In case anyone is wondering about Taylor’s “we all knew this was fake” comment at the end, he was referring to the news that had come out around that time about some bottled water actually being regular public tap water.
